These Video Security Controllers are designed to meet the needs of a DVTel archiver and Directory/EDB all in one machine. With the extra overhead of the directory, 50% of the normal capacity from the standard VSC archiver can be used by the Directory/EDB service and therefore limiting the amount of cameras that be stored on the VSC archiver. So, any VSC Archiver can be used as a VSC Master/Archiver, but the capacity of cameras is reduced. We also have some low cost based products for smaller systems: For larger and other types of All-In-Ones VSC Master/Archivers, use the normal VSC Archivers but remember to limit the amount of cameras.
